Abstract :
This paper focused on the modeling of integrated building to propose a Framework for Information Modeling (FIM) method for integrated building. This method combines BIM technology of construction with several modeling methods in manufacturing industry, such as top-down design, variant configuration and parametric modeling etc.; the FIM method has been successfully applied in the process of building modeling. Initial cases of integrated building demonstrated the effectiveness of FIM method. The method greatly shortened the development time of modeling, and dramatically improved the efficiency.
