  • Abstract
    The demand of unit-operating capacity and reserve capacity increase due to the volatility and intermittent characteristic of renewable energy with the scale of larger and larger. Dispatching and planning of system faced with a series of influences. Based on volatility mechanism and influence factors of renewable energy output, characteristics evaluation index system of renewable energy output is presented in space-time scales in this paper. Each index in the evaluation system is defined and the statistics and calculation method is established. In terms of time scale, probability distribution difference of output fluctuation is calculated to further analyze the impact of short, medium and long time scales characteristics of renewable energy on controlling, scheduling and planning. In terms of space scale, geographical dispersion effect is analyzed by calculating indexes changes in different range of areas. Finally, the characteristic indexes of renewable energy in Three North are calculated, the impact of integration of large renewable energy on peak load and frequency regulation and power transmission is assessed in this paper. The results will be provided as reference for scheduling and planning of power system with large scale of renewable energy.
