Abstract :
SCADA system contains a lot of important information of the sub-components of a wind turbine. Hence, it can help us to evaluate the health condition of a wind turbine and predict potential faults by using the SCADA data in a scientific way. In this article, a SCADA data preprocessing method was discussed, and a method to calculate the health coefficient of wind turbine based on the principle of the least square method is proposed. Health level of corresponding equipment is discussed during condition monitoring. At the end, the SCADA data before and after the failure of a 1.5MW wind turbine generator bearing was used to prove the practicability of this method. The results clearly show whether there is a failure in the wind turbine generator bearing and how serious it is.
