Abstract
Surface plasmon resonance method has been used to study the effect of H/sub 2/S gas on gold surface. By fitting angle dependent reflectivity data to the Fresnel theory, the optical properties and layer thickness of Au/sub x/S/sub y/ compounds are obtained.
