Abstract :
In recent years, a significant number of large-scale PV plants have been put into operation or under planning around the world. The rapid increase of solar photovoltaic (PV) power integration causes extensive concerns as well as wide research interests on their impacts on a power grid. The model accuracy of a PV plant is one of the most important factors to investigate the mutual influence between a PV plant and a power grid. However, this problem has not been well solved, especially in how to apply the real measurements to validate the model of a PV plant. This paper presents a model validation methodology for PV plant via the hybrid data simulation. Firstly, the typical hybrid data simulation and model validation methods are investigated. Secondly, the implementation scheme of a hybrid data simulation method, namely fast-responding generator, suitable for validating a PV plant model is discussed. Thirdly, an analysis model of one PV plant based on real engineering projects of China is established then validated by the fast-responding generator method. The simulation results illustrate the feasibility of the fast-responding generator method for PV plant model validation.
