Abstract
This paper develops a novel scheme of game theory based interference coordination and precoding cooperation strategy in massive MIMO LTE-A heterogeneous networks (HetNets). In particular, we first assume that the macro-cell protects itself by pricing the bandwidth allocated to small-cells and do the precoding computing for small-cells. We then employ the Stackelberg game to collectively consider the utility maximization of macro-cell and small-cells. During game formulation, our scheme takes the advantage of LTE-A standards, such as Almost Blank Subframes (ABS) and Cell Range Expansion (CRE) for small cell. We also investigate the impact of massive MIMO on the channel capacity. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate that our approach can obviously improve the throughput of multi-tier cellular network as well as leverage the resource sharing of the macro-users who are adjacent to the small-cells.
