Abstract :
High demand on better mobile terminal performance lead to the implementation of multiple input multiple output antennas. Significant channel capacity improvement is expected with simultaneous antenna performance degradation due to the high inter-element coupling. This paper reviews recent literatures featuring different decoupling techniques in MIMO antennas for mobile terminals. The implementation of extra structures and reduction of the structure´s surface are methods capable of offering optimized mutual coupling via current flow modification.
