Abstract :
Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of human casualty in the world as reported by World Health Organization (WHO). To facilitate in minimizing the causes, constant monitoring of the heart´s rhythm appears as one alternative solution. This paper presents a convenient system which implements wireless network to monitor remote patient. The aim of this work is to design and implement a monitoring system of the desired signal Electrocardiogram (ECG) between several patients. The system provides observations of the patient by wearing a portable device which is equipped with the designed ZigBee wireless module. The formed system provides a real-time heart rate monitoring data, and the signal gathered is used for doctor´s observation and analysis. In this system, the patient device sends ECG signal via wireless to the monitoring centre (PC). Moreover, a Graphic User Interface (GUI) is developed via Visual Basic (VB) to exhibit ECG processing task in monitoring centre.
