  • Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the perceptions of senior Medical Electronicss (ME) students of Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah regarding the implementation of outcome-based education (OBE) in their classroom learning environment. A total of 92 senior Medical Electronicss students participated in the study. Using a survey questionnaire, the study explored seven elements pertaining to the implementation of outcome-based education. The seven elements included involvement, investigation, cooperation, equity, differentiation, personal relevance and responsibility for own learning. The data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings indicated that the students strongly agreed OBE implementation was practised. There was no difference in perceptions with regard to gender on the OBE implementation. Future research should be extended to a bigger population in the polytechnic to validate the study.
