Abstract :
The inability to move is a terrifying phase of a normal human being. The body lose the ability to move due to several factors such as accidents, infections to the spine and also stroke. Stroke usually hit those who are older. However, in this modern age, young people are not excluded from a stroke attack. Therefore the proposed product is a combination of 6 different types of therapy equip to a wheelchair for physiotherapy and stroke patients can do the therapy at home. Studies on the multi-functions wheelchair are categorized as ergonomic, sitting posture, grip system and human needs. A conceptual design is produced by combining sub ideas with existing equipment on the combined functions of wheelchairs, shoulder exercise pulley set, finger ladder reflexology, hand grip exerciser, ride exerciser and quadriceps exerciser. To overcome these problems, a product named Wheelchair Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Treatment (WPRT) is designed. The use of this WPRT allows the patient to do exercises at home with minimal monitoring. The product is built from a combination of several mechanisms of wheelchair, shoulder training set, handheld training set and thigh and leg training. With this product, patients no longer need to worry about the problems of time and financial to do treatment in the hospital and could be done at home. Patients can also use this product under supervisions of family members without the need of physiotherapy experts.
