Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a Bezier curve based interpolation technique to eliminate the fixed impulse noise from digital images as well as maintaining the edges of the image. To eliminate the noise, we make the noisy image to pass through two steps, where in the first step we found out the pixels affected by the impulse noise, and in second step, edge protecting process is done using Bezier interpolation technique. Promising results were obtained for images having more than 80 percent of the image pixels are affected. Our proposed algorithm is producing better results in comparison to existing algorithms.
