Abstract :
A conceptual cryogenic system for a 10 MW superconducting wind generator (SWG) is proposed. The proposed configuration eliminates the cryogenic rotary joints for transmitting the coolant, by which the reliability of the cryogenic system is improved. The design considerations and characteristic analysis under different conditions are conducted. The characteristic analysis provides a base for practical development of a 10 MW superconducting wind generator.
