Abstract :
In this paper, a probability algorithm is proposed to track the global power peak (GP) of PV arrays under partially shaded conditions (PSCs). It tries to find the mathematical relationship between GP and sampling points of PV curve. In other words, there is a probability for GP located into the vicinity of maximal sampling points. But the number of sampling points must be large enough to make the probability greater than one predetermined value. From this view, some traditional methods can be easily unified in the same math system. Finally, simulations and experiments demonstrate that this method can track global maximum power point (MPP) effectively.
