Abstract :
An electromagnetic design method of HTS-CR is proposed in which the field-circuit coupled finite element method (FCC-FEM) is introduced. Tests of both the steady volt-ampere characteristic and the DC critical current of HTS windings of a HTS-CR prototype that is made with the FCC-FEM are done. The results agree well with calculations, which verifies the reliability of the electromagnetic design method. With the above mentioned design method, design parameters and calculation results of the 35 kV HTS-CR are presented.
