Abstract
Development of an LTS/HTS magnet made of NbTi/Cu wire and YBCO tape is introduced in this paper. In order to combine the two kinds of superconductors together, a special adhesive made of epoxy resin and copper powder was used. A transposition method was applied to balance the current and magnetic field between LTS and HTS. Lastly, minimum quench energies (MQE) of LTS/HTS magnet and LTS magnet were measured. Results indicate the stability of LTS/HTS magnet is better than LTS magnet.
