Abstract
Heat-leakage of Peltier current lead (PCL) with natural and water-cooling modes at its room-temperature terminals was simulated by finite element method (FEM). A two-dimensional model of PCL with conduction cooling was established to obtain optimized parameters for natural air cooling (NAC) and water cooling (WC) at room-temperature terminals. Simulated results show that the minimum heat leakage is available at low current if the room-temperature termination is cooled by NAC and the minimum heat leakage easily obtains at high current if it is cooled by water.
