Abstract :
It is important to optimize the parameters of the eddy current coil in order to improve the accuracy of coin identification. In this paper, a new planar eddy current excitation coil and an array of planer eddy current receiver coil were proposed. A simulation model was developed to validate the performance of new planar eddy current coil system. It is showed that the proposed coil system has better accuracy than single coil identification system. The efficiency of the identification is 1800 pcs/minute and the recognition rate of the proposed system can reach up to 99%.
