Abstract :
In this study, an inductance measurement method by electrical method are originally suggested for a 22.9 kV/50 MVA high temperature superconducting (HTS) cable with a conductor and a shield. Using this method, we experimentally evaluate self-inductances of the conductor and shield, respectively, and also their mutual inductance. To verify the measured data, the self and mutual inductances of the conductor and shield are calculated from finite element method. The main result shows the calculated inductances are in good agreement with measured ones. Therefore, the reliability of the inductance measurement method is confirmed.
