  • Abstract
This paper presents a new tranformerless inverter topology integrated with a boost converter for photovoltaic (PV) application. Transformerless inverters are widely used in grid tied PV generation systems, due its efficiency and low cost. Due to the omission of transformer from grid-connected PV system, a galvanic connection between the grid and the PV array exists. As a result, dangerous leakage currents can appear through the stray capacitance between the PV array and the ground. In order to avoid these leakage currents, different inverter topologies that generate constant common mode voltages have been proposed. The proposed system is a new high efficiency topology that generates constant common mode voltage with low input voltage.
