Abstract :
The paper explains Hysteresis controller and Proportional Integral control of three phase Shunt Active Power Filter to improve the Power Quality of non-linear loads. The Hysteresis used to control Current. Proportional and Integral Control for reducing voltage harmonics. Gating pulses for the Shunt Active Filter is generated using Hysteresis current controller based Pulse width modulation technique. The Total Harmonic Distortion of Nonlinear load has decreased from 21.32% to 5.95%. The proposed model is simulated in MATLAB / SIMULINK.
