  • Abstract
In this paper a dynamic delay compensation firefly algorithm for synchronization in large scale Ad Hoc networks with large propagation delay is proposed based in the work of Tyrell et al. (2006) which puts forward a strategy to apply the conventional firefly algorithm into small scale wireless networks. The dynamic delay compensation at the receiver can ensure that each increment of phase at the receiver occurs exactly a synchronization period after the transmitter´s firing. As a result, the whole system can reach to a stable synchronization status with high accuracy which is no longer limited by propagation delay even though the network has a large scale and all nodes have the randomly distributed location. Moreover, the algorithm is suitable for mobile Ad Hoc networks as well.
