  • Abstract
We developed broadband 8×8 and 16×16 circular waveguide array antennas with a V-band connector interface for a millimetre-wave video transmission system. Broadband and low cost are the system requirements for the antenna. The maximum antenna gains at V band are 26 dBi and 30 dBi for the 8×8 array and 16×16 array, respectively. 3 dB bandwidths of both antennas are as wide as 8 GHz (13%). For low cost requirement, we made a plastic body antenna, and compared the characteristics with an aluminium. body. We obtained almost the same characteristics for both antennas.
