Abstract :
The presence of unwanted transmission out of the nominal signal band belongs to the crucial problems in the context of coexisting wireless communication systems. The effective reduction of out-of-band emission (OOBE) requires the application of algorithms for, e.g., sidelobes suppression or intermodulation product removal. Moreover, the predistortion of the power amplifier (PA) can be considered. In this work, we propose an algorithm for the derivation of accurate predistorter characteristics which is then used jointly with selected algorithms for OOBE reduction. Next, the results from the hardware implementation on the software defined radio platform are described. The proposed solution has been tested for the case of non-contiguous multicarrier signal transmission.
