Abstract :
A novel compact high-T c superconducting (HTS) bandpass filter (BPF) structure with coplanar waveguide (CPW) meander-line parallel-circuited resonators is proposed. By determining the equivalent circuit parameters of the resonator including the input and output transmission lines, the conventional filter design technique with J-inverters can be applicable. The design method of the BPF is shown and computer simulations are carried out to obtain equivalent circuit parameters of the BPF. The frequency characteristics of two-stage Butterworth and six-stage Chebyshev BPFs obtained by the simulations agreed well with the theoretical results and validity of the design theory is confirmed.
