Abstract :
The performance of the FPC (flat-plate collector) increase its ability to convert the solar energy into heat, for an optimum performances it is necessary to minimize the heat losses which increase with the temperature of the collector, have a good quality of the materials (including insulation), also have a good heat transfer between the absorber and the heat transfer fluid (water); and at the end refer to the weather conditions (sunshine, wind velocity, temperature...). In this paper we will study new approach to improve the productivity of a FPC by using a mono-axial tracker, a prediction study will be done to compare a fixed model in south orientation with a model with a mono-axial tracker, at the end a series of experimental tests will be held for the two systems aiming their comparison and rated the radiation projected onto the flat surface of the two collectors, and further to thermal measure their productivity over time along the day.
