Abstract
Scientific effect evaluation plays an important role in SAR suppression jamming. However, experiment results show that, for the traditional assessment method based on correlation coefficient, the evaluation indexes are usually inconsistent with the feeling of the human eyes. In order to cope with this problem, a new evaluation method is proposed in this paper. In the method, two edge strength images are firstly obtained by apply ROEWA (ratio of exponentially weighted averages) operator in both SAR images before and after jamming. After that, a new evaluation index is achieved by computing the correlation of the two edge strength images. Experiment results show that, compared with the traditional evaluation methods, the new evaluation indexes is more consistent with the subjective feeling of the human eyes.
