Abstract :
The Conjugate Gradient (CG) method, an advanced algorithm belonging to the Krylov subspace family, is recently proposed for array signal processing and shows superior performance in correlated, low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and limited sample data environment. Motivated by the above, in this paper, the CG for high resolution direction of arrival in collocated MIMO radar and sonar is investigated. And, a transmit beamspace (BS) CG is developed. The proposed methods for MIMO radar and sonar are compared with the classic MUSIC method and stateof - art transmit beamspace MUSIC for MIMO radar. Numerical results show the CG provides a better performance even without transmit beamspace preprocessing.
