Abstract :
Probe-fed section-cylindrical DRAs are studied by using the three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. To achieve the low-profile feature, the section-cylindrical DRAs are made of high-dielectric-constant materials. The rectangular coordinate rather than cylindrical coordinate is used due to the offset probe feed and section-cylindrical structure. The boundary between DRA and free space is approximated by staircased Yee cells Input impedance and radiation patterns are calculated and presented.
