Abstract :
This paper describes a 4-channel monopulse radar system with an additional delta-delta beam. This additional degree-of-freedom can be used to provide advanced capabilities such as mainlobe jamming cancellation, 2-target main beam resolution and enhanced angle estimation using 2 sets of monopulse ratios. The 4-channel system provides two sets of monopulse ratios which complement each other and as a result, angle estimation accuracy is improved with mitigation of beam-shape loss.
