Abstract :
As a form of clean energy, wind farms have currently been caused much attention all over the world. Studies have shown that wind farms will have a serious impact on air traffic control (ATC) radar located nearby. The mitigation problems of wind turbine clutter are studied for scanning air traffic control radar. Firstly, the gapped-data of wind turbine clutter are reconstructed successfully based on GAPES algorithm. Then the clutter mitigation method based on the periodicity of wind turbine clutter are applied to suppress the clutter. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
