Abstract
The authors study the problem of the orthogonal waveform design for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar. Complete complementary sequence (CCS) has ideal auto-correlation and cross-correlation properties, which can be utilized in MIMO radar systems to cancel the range sidelobes. A CCS-based approach is proposed for designing MIMO radar waveforms in this paper. Compared to the traditional approaches, this approach can generate MIMO radar waveform with the best multiple pulse compression accumulation results. Simulation examples show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
