Abstract
The micro-motion is combined with the high velocity of translation motion for ballistic targets. The translation motion should be compensated for micro-Doppler information extraction. A new method based on delay conjugate multiplication to estimate the translation motion parameters and precession period jointly is proposed in this paper. By delay conjugate multiplication of the received signal, the micro-Doppler information can be cancel out when the delay time is corresponding to the precession period and the translation motion parameters estimation problem is transformed to a multi-polynomial phase signal parameters estimation problem. Based on this character, an algorithm to estimate the translation motion and precession period parameters is proposed. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can achieve high-precision parameters estimate performance for ballistic targets under low SNR.
