Abstract :
Virtual network embedding is an important problem in a multiple infrastructure provider (InP) network virtualization environment. In such a virtualized distributed network, the difficulty lies in how to optimally map a dynamically arriving virtual network (VN) request on the substrate networks managed and owned by multiple InPs. An Interactive Artificial Bee Colony (IABC) based Virtual Network Embedding algorithm has been proposed in this work. The simulation results indicates improved results in terms of VN requests embedding cost, acceptance ratio and embedding time as compared to other meta-heuristic strategies for the same.
