Abstract :
Automobile Industry, Government and Academic are contributing more on improving road and traffic efficiency. VANETs are one form of MANETs, whose main goal is to prove safety and comfort for passenger. After U.S Federal Communication Commission (FCC) allotted a 7SMhz. spectrum @ S.9Ghs for VANET with much advanced node mobility, opens a new door to combat the road facilities. Routing protocol is a standard that switches nodes which helps in determining how to direct the received packets from the sender. Therefore selecting suitable protocols is important for efficient and reliable end to end communications of vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to infrastructure (V2I). In this paper, the performance of Ad-hoc On Demand Vector (AODV) and (Optimal link State Routing(OLSR) is analyzed in terms of Average unicast End-to-End Delay (sec) and Average unicast jitter. The above protocols are employed in implementing scenario wherein the safely of the vehicle is ensured.
