Building automation&security using can and IoT

The technology for controlling electrical loads & energy monitoring has seen tremendous evolvement. On the same lines, many devices have come up to provide security for the premises. In this paper a low cost interface for control of electrical loads along with providing security of building, residential or commercial, for the user in terms of deployment, operation and easy to use interface is presented. The various devices talk to each other over CAN bus and the nodes can be controlled remotely via a gateway, which is connected to the internet.
