Abstract :
Our standards column this time highlights the very active coordination between the Society´s Standards Development and Education Committee (SDECom) and the Education and Student Activity Committee (ESAC) in coordinating each committee´s respective education activity. During the 2014 IEEE International Symposium in Raleigh, North Carolina, both committees had a working lunch to further focus all educational activities of the Society. The chairs of SDECom (Alistair Duffy) and ESAC (Mark Steffka) led the discussion. Coming out of that meeting (and the one held during the IEEE EMC Symposium in Denver last year) were specific actions. To present the outcome(s), Don has asked Alistair to provide a report on what happened at the luncheon meeting. At the end of his report there is a list of standards projects that are in need of expert input. This is an opportunity to contribute to the Society and to work with an excellent cadre of Society standards volunteers. Following is his report.
