Abstract
In this paper, power consumption reduction method in wireless communication using cross-layer is proposed. In the international standard, namely IEEE802.11, reduction in power consumption is conducted by providing a sleep state at the terminal. Moreover, in IEEE802.11ax where multiple streams are being deployed, discussions on reducing the power consumption at the terminal such as considering the need for a more efficient power consumption reduction have been conducted. In this paper, we describe the technique on an efficient power consumption reduction by controlling the sleep time at the access point.
