Abstract
Elastic optical network (EON) is considered as a very promising architecture for future optical transport network, since it efficiently uses the spectrum resources and provide high bandwidth scalability and granularity. In this paper, the virtual topology design (VTD) problem on EONs is considered. Two heuristic algorithms are proposed to solve this problem, they are Minimum Delay Path First (MDPF) and Maximal Allocates First (MAF). Simulations show that the proposed algorithms can achieve good results.
