Abstract :
This paper is a case study on how European industrial communities could take advantages of a new content management and collaborative approach. European commission launched the EPBD buildings platform project in early 2006 in order to foster the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. This project consists in deploying a web based platform that helps stakeholders to share information about regulatory and technical issues in their native languages. CSTB has been in charge of designing, deploying and hosting the technical solution. We have applied the open source community approach to Content Management System (CMS) to be able to deploy the platform in a short time and keep it close to the stakeholder needs.
