Abstract :
In this paper, design approaches for digital H filters are discussed. In particular, two design methods, called indirect and direct design respectively, are proposed to develop a class of digital H filters. The indirect design is a pure discrete-time method, while the direct design develops digital H filters directly for continuous plants using the so-called lifting technique and taking intersample information into account. Possible selection of a special digital H filter from the admissible class is also discussed
