A new concept for lower cost underground transmission and termination

Less than 1% of some 300,000 miles of transmission lines are underground. To put all transmission lines underground would cost 5 to 10 billion dollars. Current cost and installation methods used in U.S.A. have been fully and expertly reported.¹ The immediate need is for undergrounding new transmission lines in and around cities at a total cost equal to or less than overhead.
