Abstract
The Autonomous Provence of Trento (PAT) in Italy is developing a set of initiatives to sustain the regional innovation. While the public broadband infrastructure is being deployed, some more actions are being performed by local innovation agencies. The TasLab is a project sustained by the local government and created by the local ICT agency for the public administration, the University of Trento and CREATE-NET, a research center that aims to develop interoperable and open-source based services through participated processes on the local broadband infrastructure. The TasLab is an idea based on the Living Laboratory framework, the Tripole of Innovation model and the Digital Ecosystems architecture. At the end of this early phase the TasLab is now looking for concrete users and innovation projects, aiming to sustain a fluid P2P and open-source based cooperation between agencies in order to create interoperable services and new opportunities.
