Abstract :
Sprinkling density and working pressure are two important parameters for automatic sprinkler system to control the fire effectively and quickly. In this paper, the fire extinguishing characteristics of sprinkler system is studied experimentally. We take traditional drop shaped glass bulb sprinkler with nominal diameter of 15 mm as example, letting the nozzle working pressure ranges between 0.05MP-0,16MP, extinguishing characteristics of various strength of spray density i n protected areas was studied through experiment. The experimental data were processed by Origin software and the temperature variation curves were obtained. Therefore, the characteristics of fire extinguishing under different pressure and sprinkling density were obtained.
