Abstract :
The paper describes a general solution for remote laboratory that is based on Matlab/Simulink and Java. The Matlab environment serves for control of real plant and Java is used for communication with Matlab and for preparation of web application. The goal was not only to develop simple web frontend for Matlab. The focus was put on creating flexible and robust architecture which can be easily modified and extended in the future, and which can be easily and quickly deployed. In this way, anybody who has some real systems connected to Matlab, can very quickly build their own remote laboratory.
