Abstract
Tests of squirrel cage induction motors rewound to the so-called Wanlass redesign were made using dynamometers to evaluate energy savings over conventionally wound motors. Results of these tests are outlined. It was concluded that final motor efficiencies are not predictable and that a reduction in efficiency sometimes resulted.
