Abstract
Public Bicycle System(PBS) is one part of urban public transportation, with the advantage of pollution-free and flexibility. The behavior of people renting bicycles produces a large number of rental and return data. How to make better use of these data to provide decision supporting for managers is a big challenge. This paper designs a visualization system called PBikeVis, which can help users choose interested station between massive bicycle stations quickly, look over the short-term and long-term circulation amounts of each station visually, and find the bike rental rules under different space and temporal granularity. PBikeVis allows non-expert users to explore the data characteristics of Public Bicycle System interactively, in order to understand the transit trip rules of residents and identify how busy the station is.
