Object Extraction in Chinese Painting Base on Visual Saliency

Chinese painting as one of Chinese traditional art forms has important research value. Due to the traditional Chinese painting has the form of abstract, the expression is implicit, with the color fixed limited and so on the artistic characteristic. This paper proposes a novel object extract method based on visual saliency in Chinese painting, which analyzing the characteristics of the Chinese painting. The Proposed algorithm is simple, efficient, and yields full resolution saliency maps. In image experiment we demonstrate that using our saliency extracts object completely in the important regions.
