Abstract :
Recently, the finite element technique has been so well established that today it is considered to be one of the best methods for solving a wide variety of practical problems efficiently. This paper presents the numerical modeling using the two-dimensional finite element method 2D-FEM. This rigorous technique is applied for the analysis and design for power dividers in substrate integrated waveguide technology employed for V band applications. The CST Microwave studio® software is employed to validate the proposed method. An excellent agreement between the finite element method data and CST simulation is achieved. The perfect comparison results show the success of the 2D-FEM method to analyze SIW power dividers.
