Abstract :
Two-path FIR filter updating structures can correctly distinguish both-way communication and channel mutation. In order to improve two-path updating algorithm efficiency, an improved updating logic based on echo return loss enhancement (ERLE) is designed to control the updating of foreground FIR filter. Specifically, such updating logic aims at comparing ERLE of the foreground FIR filter and the background FIR filter so as to determine whether to update the foreground FIR filter. This improved updating logic can correctly distinguish both-way communication and channel mutation, and improve algorithm convergence rate, as well as reduce storage resource and calculation complexity. Meanwhile, the simulation has verified the effectiveness of this algorithm.
