Abstract :
The anchorage zone of the main tower is the key part of a cable-stayed bridge. The stress state of the region is very complex due to the local powerful centralized force of the stayed cable, the anchoring force of the pre-stressing tendons, and other factors as well as holes weaken. The combining method of full scale model tests and finite element analysis is used in this region. The calculation results show that it is feasible to test with the test model instead of the actual bridge structure, that the stress states of the long side of both the original real bridge structure and the test model under the pre-stress and cable force of completed bridge is basically the same, that the calculated results of short side are very close and there is a large stress concentration around the anchor plate of the tooth blocks and the junction between the tooth block and the box. These conclusions make the stress state of the anchorage zone clear, which has some certain significance on the design of this region.
